Classic Lunchbox MOC
This is a 8 studs version of the iconic and famous „Vanessa’s Lunch Box“ by Tamiya – probably one of the most popular RC cars of the 80’s (and maybe even still today). 8 years ago, my son wanted to have an RC car. I told to him, if he is going to get one, then it must be a real car, not some kind of 20 bucks plastic bomber from a toy store. So, we bought 2 Tamiya Neo Fighters and built them together. He lost the interest, I got stuck to it and soon the Lunchbox became part of my RC collection.
I tried to stick to the size of the new Speed Champions cars – 8 studs wide and approx. 20 studs long (just the body).
I thought it might be a nice twist to design it like an RC car. Chassis and body. The body can be easily attached to the chassis.
The images with the Lunch Box including stickers are for display purpose only. But you can get sticker sheets for Tamiya’s Lunch Box Junior or Mini which might work pretty good for this model. Or create them yourself. There are many different versions out there in the internet.
